Johnny - I didn't catch the message on your blog until this morning, but happened to catch the special while eating dinner. I almost did a double take when Tom first mentioned he was reporting from Jackson. My wife and I enjoyed the special. Do you think it accurately portrayed Jackson?
The biggest message I got was that there is a huge lack of parental figures in these kids lives. They asked several males where their fathers were? A lot of them were in jail or in another part of the country. This is only one obstacle these people face.
It is people like you and Emily, and the whole John Perkins organization that these kids do have positive role models, are encouraged to learn, and be positive members of the Jackson community. Thanks for the awesome work you are doing! It does make a difference!
